Dear IFPA Country directors,
The BOP is coming closer ... still 4 months away, but with the holidays in between, no time to loose.
The venue is the same as last years BOP in Sint Niklaas, but bigger in size, as we get an extra hall.
Important to mention that this is an IFPA ECS event !!!
The registration opens for everybody on July 1st. This year we have 200 spots available. Last year we had only 150 spots, which sold out 2 months prior to date !!
In order to ensure a good attendance of foreign top players, we allow the IFPA country directors to pre-register 6 persons per country.

If we did not get your reply before July 1st, the pre registration ends and you can register through the normal registration channel.
The setup is slightly different compared to last year. In a nutshell it comes down to the following :
* Main tournament : 4 Qualification groups of each 50 players. Qualification groups have a dedicated time slot which needs to be respected. 8 qualification games to be chosen out of a bank of 20 games. 1 extra Joker to be used carefully, as it replaces the old score, even if it is worse. Extra 2 hours of Joker round after the 4 qualification group time slots. 56 players move to the Sunday double knock out tree. Q1-Q8 get 2 rounds bye. Q9-Q24 get 1 round bye. Q25-Q56 start the first round on Sunday. Winners bracket is best of three games, 3 balls per game. Losers bracket is 1 game only, 4 balls to be played. 3 players from the winners bracket + 1 player from the losers bracket eventually qualify for the finals. The finals are 3 games of 4 players. The 3 games are chosen by the 3 finalists of the winners bracket.
* Classics Tournament : Every registered player gets a free entry for the classics tournament. Extra entries can be bought at 3 euro per entry. A bank of 8 Classic games. An entry is played on 3 of these 8 machines at your choice. Top 16 qualifiers move to the next round.
* Winner Takes it All : WTIA : Pinball machines with a special touch, where you can set your highscore throughout the 2 days. Nice prizes to win !!
* Team tournament : Max. 12 teams can register. At least 1 team per country.
*¨ Youth tournament : A special tournament setup for minor 16 year old players.
* Enough machines on Free play for leisure.
Last but not least : This BOP is eventually the tryout for next years EPC. The EPC will be held in the same venue ... again bigger in size with another extra hall. Max. registrations will be 240 persons (or higher - to be decided).
We will allow the IFPA Country directors to pre-register 10 spots per country for the upcoming EPC. Team tournament with 16 teams. More info will follow.
